Albertine “Tina” Kudlock, age 83, loving Mother & Grandmother passed away July 16, 2023. Tina was born on November 6, 1939, the daughter of Josef & Elisabeth Peetz in Herzogenaurach, Germany.
Tina loved sharing stories of her childhood days of growing up during war times. Even though she was young, she remembered the bombing raids, the black uniforms of the SS troops, and when the U.S. tanks rolled into the town. The U.S. soldiers giving the children chewing gum, which they had never seen. One of the main things she always wanted to point out was the majority of German people were not supporters of the Nazi movement. She was also very proud of the Adidas & Puma connection to her family. The brothers, also the founders of the two companies, Adolph & Rudolph Dassler grew up with Tina’s parents. The brothers also worked in Tina’s great-grandfather’s shoe factory when they were younger.
Tina left Germany in November of 1959 to begin a life with her future husband, Duane, of 37 years, who passed in 1996. They had only known each other through correspondence & pictures. They were married in December of 1959 in Belle Fourche, SD. They lived the ranching life before moving to Rapid City in 1961. Duane & Tina welcomed two sons Richie & Scott, whom she loved dearly. Tina enjoyed taking care of her family before entering the work force in 1975. She became a longtime employee of Kmart, where she worked 30+ years. Retiring officially in 2017. Her days following included traveling, spending time with family & friends and taking care of her yard, which she took great pride in along with gardening. She loved her many many flowers.
Tina will be Forever Loved & Remembered by her sons & daughter-in-law, Richie & Wanda and Scott; her grandchildren Joshua, Jason (Cristina), Allan, Preston, Rachel (Mitchell) and Hayley and her great grandson Luka & a soon-to-be great granddaughter.
