Angela Marie (Stanfield) Braman-Petersen, 51, of Rapid City, South Dakota, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 20, 2026, at her home.

Angela was born on January 10, 1975, in Huron, South Dakota, to Robert “Bob” and Rhonda Stanfield. She spent her early years in Huron, where she attended school until 1991, when her family moved to Doland, South Dakota. She graduated from Doland High School with the Class of 1993 before later pursuing her education in cosmetology in Rapid City.

Angela embraced life with a caring heart and a creative spirit. From a young age, she found joy in roller skating, a pastime that brought her countless happy memories. As the years passed, she developed a passion for crocheting and cross-stitching, creating handmade gifts and keepsakes that reflected her patience, creativity, and love. She also treasured spending time with her children, especially making lasting memories together while attending concerts.

Family was the center of Angela’s life. Her greatest pride and most cherished accomplishment was being a mother and grandmother. She loved her children unconditionally, and nothing brought her greater happiness than watching her family grow. The love she shared with her family will remain her greatest legacy.

Angela is lovingly survived by her parents, Robert “Bob” and Rhonda Stanfield of Doland, South Dakota; her brothers, Brodey Stanfield and Josh Stanfield, both of Huron, South Dakota; her children, Carolynn Olson of Huron, South Dakota; Kyley Osborne of Hastings, Nebraska; Michael (Shayla) Braman of Doland, South Dakota; Nathaneal Braman of Rochester, New Hampshire; Sumar (Andruw) Fredericksen, Chantz Petersen, and Lexy Petersen, all of Rapid City, South Dakota; and her 15 beloved grandchildren.

Angela was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, her paternal grandparents, and numerous beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Though Angela’s life was far too short, the love she gave and the memories she created will continue to live on through her family and all who knew her. Her kindness, creativity, laughter, and unwavering love will forever be remembered. While she will be deeply missed, her spirit will continue to shine in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

A funeral service celebrating Angela’s life will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at American Lutheran Church in Huron, South Dakota. Following the service, family and friends are invited to remain for a luncheon and a time of fellowship at American Lutheran Church as they gather to share memories, offer comfort, and celebrate Angela’s life.
