The words elude me... The feelings do not! The earth screams as we loose this soul, yet the heavens rejoice. The people cry, cry tears of joy. She would want us to celebrate her life and not mourn her passing. For HER, the JOURNEY is at the beginning, and not the END. I will sing her name loudly, I will remember her grace and the powerful presence that little frame embodied, I WILL CONTINUE TO LOVE HER, ALWAYS. We love you Aunt Dee.

My heart goes out to all of you who find a hole in yours these past few days and the oncoming weeks. It seems an era is quickly coming to an end for our Romie & Grace Rousseau family. I miss all our aunts and uncles and family gatherings of our youth. Aunt Dee was a go-getter and a bundle of energy and just plain ole funny sometimes - I can still see that twinkle in her eye and hear that mischievous laugh when she's been a bit ornery. Her spirit was huge despite her small frame and the grand number of lives she touched we will never truly know. I do know, however, she will be deeply missed. She has earned her peaceful rest now and that most awesome of family reunions with those gone before her. God Bless you, Aunt Dee. I am grateful for the love and many lessons I have learned from your part in my life. Hugs and prayers to my dear cousins. Phyllis Rousseau-Gibbs

Dee Schumacher, always ready with a smile on her face and kind words. How I will miss you. Since I became friends with your daughter all those years ago you have been a constant in my life. How ironic that Karri and I each had a parent born on the same date. Go with God and spread your joy in heaven. I love you, Dee.

As I grew up Grandma was sweet and kind. She taught us to be kind, loving, and warm-hearted. I’m thankful for her teaching me about my culture, lineage, and past. I’m thankful for her for making Christmas not about presents but about gathering together and enjoying my families presences. She’s given me the ability to appreciate the little things and to fight for what right. I love you Grandma and thank you for everything. You’ll live forever in a hearts.

Gram you were truly a beautiful soul and I appreciate all the fond memories from watching caterpillars in there cacoons emergenging into butterflies. Catching spiders and snakes in your lovely gardens. I know you loved nature. It's ironic that my memories symbolizes your recent passing, a beautiful caterpillar blossoming into a majestic butterfly. I appreciate that you have watched over not only your grandchild, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nephews, great nephews, and great great nephews, but all the kids of Lakota homes and all the animals that chose to reside in your beautiful gardens. On top of this you inspired and helped breathe life into my relationship with God and our savior Jesus Christ. I love you grandma schu I hope you find peace and nothing but glory in God's kingdom. God Bless you and my family grieving this beautiful soul.

Dear Family; Try to remember the little things, the shared smiles, the warm hugs, the laughter. The pain might seem unbearable now, but in time, it is these memories that will win through and you will find happiness again. Our sincerest sympathies are with you during this difficult time. Your mother was a wonderful woman, full of strength and goodness. She will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Aunt Jean and Tanina
