She moved with her family to Sioux City , Iowa . Her father died when she was young and she was cared for by a local Pastor’s wife. Esther was united in marriage to Charles Oren Goodrich in Reno , NV . Together they had 3 sons, Oren C. Goodrich, Ron L. Goodrich and Grayle W. Goodrich. Charles died and left her as a single mother. In the late 1950’s and early 1960’s, Esther had a special relationship with the Counts of Cobblestone Car Club. She would always have snacks and refreshments at her house for them and in appreciation; her sons and the counts fixed up and painted a car for her. They named the car “Mama’s Wheels” and on some nights she would drive around town with some of the car club members. People would come from all around for her German Chocolate cake, pies and rolls which she baked for Robbinsdale Recreation Center . She enjoyed knowing that people loved her cooking. Esther married Gordon J. ‘Gordie’ Richmond on April 7, 1961 . She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her sons and grandchildren. She gave to others even when she had little to give but love. She loved to take her yearly trips with Gordie, fishing, exploring for gold and ghost towns and playing cards with her many dear friends. One of her favorite pastimes was hunting for treasure with the Black Hills Treasure Club. She had a very pleasant and fulfilling life in 42 years of marriage to Gordie and spending time in his furniture repair shop. She is survived by 2 sons, Ron L. Goodrich, Rapid City, Grayle W.
