Location Saint Therese The Little Flower Catholic Church

Visitation will be on Monday, March 20, 2023 and Tuesday, March 21, 2023 from 9:00 a.m., to 5:00 p.m., at St. Therese the Little Flower Catholic Church.  There will be a Catholic prayer service on Monday, March 20 at 11:00 a.m., and a traditional Lakota service on Tuesday, March 21 at 2:00 p.m., at the church.  Jessica will be cremated following services.

Jessica, 40, of Rapid City, SD made her spiritual journey on March 10, 2023, surrounded by family at home. Jessica was born on March 1, 1983 in Pine Ridge, SD to Thelma Siers-Trueblood and Robert Trueblood Sr.

 

When Jessica was six months old, her mother and siblings moved to Rapid City, SD. She attended elementary school at Knollwood and attended North Jr High for her middle school years. Jessica went to Central High School for a short time then went off to attend Box Elder Job Corp in Nemo, SD. While attending Job Corp she met the love of her life, Lawrence Richard Bocanegra Jr., who she later married on June 26, 2010. They resided in Thornton, Colorado for many years. In 2004, Jessica gave birth to her pride and joy, Lorenco Ricardo Bocanegra. She was a dedicated and loving mother. To say that Lorenco was her whole world is an understatement, he truly was the light of her life and she was so proud of the man he has become. Lorenco is a loyal, respectful and honorable young man. He never left his mother’s side and supported her until the end.

 

Jessica is survived by her son, Lorenco; husband, Lawrence; mother, Thelma; father, Robert; mother in law, Andrea Candelaria-Quintero; father in law, Lawrence Bocanegra Sr.; siblings, Lynn, Robert Jr., Tessa (Chuck), Kevin (Tarah), Jamie (Annie), and Julian (Alexandria); sister in law, Jennifer Bocanegra-Gonzalez; aunts, Margaret Sierra, Sue Deranger, Sheila Holderness, Jolene Trueblood-Provost; uncles, Lester Siers, Theodore “Teddy” Siers Sr., Frank “Boob” Siers Jr., and Efrem “Zig” Trueblood.  She is survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

 

Jessica was preceded in death by her stillborn son, Abraham Bocanegra; maternal grandmother, Mildred Jensen-Siers; maternal grandfather, Frank Siers; paternal grandmother, Margaret Pourier-Trueblood; paternal grandfather, Jess Trueblood; maternal aunts, Cleo Janis, Wanda Siers; maternal uncles, Douglas Jensen, Albert Siers, Buzzy Jensen; paternal aunts, Karen Trueblood, Geraldine Trueblood, Gail Trueblood-Sealock, Lynn Trueblood-Ecoffey, Donna Trueblood-Azure; paternal uncle, Jesse Trueblood; Grandmother in law, Eva Commander and Grandfather in law, Benigno Candelaria.

 

Pallbearers: Lisa Good Iron, Brooke Wright, Tierra Trueblood, Audriana Jones, Jesse Trueblood and Trentin Trueblood.
