Laurence Joseph Mischke, as known as Larry a beloved member of our Family, passed away on January 16, 2024 at the age of 80 in his hometown of Rapid City, SD.

In the face of serious medical issues in recent years, Larry displayed remarkable courage, always facing life’s challenges with a smile. His unwavering strength and resilience during times of pain earned him the title of a true hero.

As a young boy born and raised in Minnesota , Larry voiced his dream of joining the United States Marine Corps someday. This dream became a reality as he proudly served his country. While in boot camp in Camp Pendleton, San Diego, CA, he met the love of his life, Esmeralda Maria Medina. It was love at first sight, and together they embarked on a journey filled with unwavering support and commitment to one another.

Larry and Esmeralda were blessed with three children: Roxanne, Larry, and Harry. As a devoted grandfather, Larry cherished his time with his grandchildren: Vannessa, Lynnete, Laurenza, Oscar, Alexandra, and Aaron.

On the day the Lord called him by his side, Laurence was surrounded by his loving family. As per his wishes, he will be cremated and laid to rest alongside his beloved wife.

In this time of loss, let us remember Larry for the remarkable person he was – a dedicated Marine, a loving husband, a nurturing father, and a doting grandfather. His memory will forever remain in our hearts, and his legacy will serve as an inspiration to all of us to face life’s challenges with bravery and a smile.
