I loved my Uncle Lloyd who was as close to me in age as a brother. When I was little, I called him Hoy and when I think of those times I still think of him as Hoy. I have many wonderful memories of those times which I will share later with Mary, Jill , LD and Andy but those memories are very precious to me because they came from a very special time in my childhood, One of the best things about my adult relationship with Lloyd was how much he and my husband Dave liked each other. They truly enjoyed their time together and spent a lot of time laughing. They had a lot of interests in common and talked once a month on the phone solving carpentry problems and the troubles of the world. They were also smart enough to marry women who really liked each other. They both had good taste regarding the opposite sex. I will miss Lloyd terribly; he was the last person who knew me as a baby and who could answer all my questions. I find consolation in knowing he has joined all our loved ones who have gone ahead. He was a good man and he was a ton of fun.

I felt a great sadness upon hearing that Lloyd had passed. He was the patriarch of the family, the oldest Potter male for generations, and the last of the uncles. He will be missed.
