Mary Ellen was a neighbor years ago on 11th St, I’ll never forget seeing Earl on a ladder trimming trees, I thought he was crazy! Mary Ellen made friends with our two young sons and when she sent them home it was usually with sugar cookies. We are better people for having known her. God Bless.

My condolences to Nancy and Gary and the rest of Mary Ellen's family. I've known Mary Ellen for a long time. She and Emmett lived across the street from my grandparents for years. When my mom visited Rapid in her later years, she frequently stayed with Mary Ellen. I tried to call her every few months during the past few years, and we always had a lovely visit. Mary Ellen had a quiet, peaceful soul, and was always a joy to be around. I know she appreciated her nephew who made it possible for her to remain in her home even as she reached the age 103. I'm glad she had a part in my life. Gayle

Sad to see the passing of Mary Ellen. She was a great person and neighbor! Many times I would find my children in her house baking cookies and listening to her life stories. Her kind gentle nature was always present with that twinkle in her eye! Thank you for the memories!!
