Robert Powell Nuss, Born 7/5/1920, Zion Grove PA. Died 4/20/2022, Issaquah WA.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife Vicky. He is survived by his sons Tom (wife Kathleen) of Oak Harbor WA, Larry (wife Charlie) of Tulsa OK, and daughter Shelley of Oak Harbor WA. With granddaughters: Clare, Colleen, Jessica, Rachel & Allyson.
Bob came from a large family of mixed German/Welsh heritage. During WWII he joined the Army Aircorps and served in the Pacific theater with an air transport squadron as a navigator. After the war, he joined the Air Force and met and married Vicky Preuss (a S.D. native) in Rapid City while stationed at Ellsworth AFB (1948-1960). Bob retired from SAC a LT. Colonel in 1972. Eventually, he and Vicky settled in Tucson AZ. After her death he moved to Washington state. He was quite proud to reach 100 years old and being able to be of service to his country.
