My heart and tears go out to Eva, Jodie, Julie, Amy and their families tonight - I wish my family could be there to give you all a hug and share tears while remembering what an amazing legacy Uncle Roger built over his lifetime. What a wonderful service with your stories and music - Roger always treasured family time and absolutely loved his girls - he lives on forever in each of you. The beautiful memorial video highlighted so many other fond memories of him - it brought many smiles to my face as I reflected on how full his life has been. I love you all. Hugs and prayers... Rest in peace, Uncle Roger.

We are sending our heartfelt sympathy to our sister Eva and her entire family. None of us were prepared or ready to let Roger go to the Lord. We have wonderful memories of our first time at Vegas with Roger showing us the Strip. We spent many meals with him and Eva at the Black Steer and Murdos in Yankton. He lived a wonderful life and was the best brother-in-law ever! Bill and Sharon Hirschman

Dear Eva and family, We were so sad to here that Roger had passed away. We read the obituary and we were happy to read about his very active life. Family seemed most important. We, too, enjoy being with our family as mush as possible. We pray that God will bless you and your family with comfort and peace. Blessings to all of you. Love, Steven and Karen

Family of Roger, Our town and your family has lost an icon. Roger was a businessman's businessman. Always kind, he was a serious professional and thoroughly customer-service oriented. If there was going to be a poster of why we should support local businesses it should have Roger's face on it. One only needs to look at the ongoing customer-centered store policies of you three girls to know that Roger has left his imprint on you and our entire city. I'm so sorry to see that he has passed, it's a terrible loss for you and all of us who admired Roger and his honor and dignity. There is, however, a reason to be optimistic. It's the legacy that's been left, the lessons we can all learn from how he treated others, and the way you girls continue his great work in the community. I'm thinking of, and appreciating, you all.
