Obituary For Barbara Ann Ratliff
Barbara Ann Ratliff, 69, Box Elder, died Monday, August 25, 2008 at Select Specialty Hospital, Sioux Falls.Barbara was born March 2, 1939 in Caribou, Maine to Gordon and Lila (Gallagher) Davis. She was raised and educated in that area graduating from Caribou High School in 1956.She married Harry 'Johnny' Ratliff, Jr. on May 5, 1958 in Caribou. They lived in various places during Harry’s Air Force career including Washington, DC, Charleston, SC, Blytheville, Arkansas, Knob Noster, Missouri and finally at Ellsworth Air Force Base in 1978.She worked as the manager of BX Dry Cleaners until recently.Barbara’s main priority in life was her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed Deadwood getaways, her dog ‘Shaggy’ and purses.She always enjoyed the simple things in life and spending time with family and friends.She is survived by 6 children, Kirt Ratliff( Sherry Kahler), Rapid City, Kevin (Julie) Ratliff, Winter Garden, FL, Kerry Ratliff, Box Elder, Kim (Todd) Seefeldt, Clark; Karen (Tony) Cole, Hampton, VA, Kellie (Trent) Melum, Sioux Falls; 11 grandchildren, Amanda Ann and Allison Ratliff, Krystal Ann, Kory and Kyndall Ratliff, Brandi Ann Carpenter, Levi Seefeldt, Emma Ann and Zane Cole, Haley Ann and Macy Melum and a sister, Joyce (Johnnie) Harvey, Orlando, FL.She was preceded in death by her husband in 1988 and her parents.
