Obituary For Betty Mae Zaiser
Betty M. Zaiser, 72, Rapid City died Saturday June 30, 2007 peacefully at home. Betty was born Feb. 2, 1935 in Deadwood, SD, the daughter of Henry and Iva (Peyton) Oestreich. She spent her childhood and attended school in Deadwood. In 1952 she married Vern H. Zaiser and moved to Rapid City in 1954. Betty devoted her life to being a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend to those she knew and loved. She had a great joy for life and was well known for her love of her family and friends, the outdoors, Elvis Presley and “walking”. Those fortunate enough to have shared her life were her husband, Vern Zaiser, Rapid City; her five children, Joni Zaiser, Rapid City; Kelly and Randi Zaiser, Elizabethtown, PA; David and Dixie Zaiser, Rapid City; Kathy Zaiser and Lars Mader, Bellingham, WA; Jeni Morris, Rapid City; her 6 grandchildren, Michael, Kay and Melinda Zaiser, Elizabethtown, PA; Justin and Dakota Zaiser, Rapid City; Troy Morris, Rapid City; her brothers Alvin Oestreich and Norman Oestreich; her in-laws Arly Oestreich, Hill City; Bill and June Fish, Rapid City; Peanuts and Claudette Newman, Rapid City; her adopted family, Tony and Jean Hay, Rapid City and all of her wonderful nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Vern H. Zaiser, April 7, 1995; her parents Iva and Henry Oestreich, one brother Norman Oestreich and her sister-in-law Arly Oestreich. Betty will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.
