Obituary For Betty Ramsay
Betty Ramsay, 88, a long-time resident of the Rapid City area, died Tuesday the 12th of December 2017 at Hospice of the Black Hills.
Betty was born May 2nd, 1929 in Upton Wyoming and moved to Rapid City in 1972 to raise her 5 daughters and many foster daughters while working at Black Hills Workshop until her retirement.
Betty shared life with her Life-Partner Lorus Axt. Together they enjoyed their retirement years traveling and camping. Betty loved cooking good food, working in her yard and socializing with friends.
She is survived by her daughters Mary Ramsay, Rapid City, Evelyn James, El Paso TX, Leora McCray, Rapid City; grandchildren Heather James, Dupo, IL, Jayce James, Tucson, AZ and Sylinda James, Salt Lake City, UT; great grandchildren Keely Leyba, Salt Lake City, UT and Kieran Leyba, Salt Lake City, UT
She is preceded in death by her Life-Partner Lorus Axt, daughters Nora Ramsay, Rachel Ramsay and Son-in-law Ed James.
Betty requested that no funeral service be held .A private celebration of life will be held for family and friends at a later date.
