I am still in shock over this news. Brandon, Scott Wilson, Matt Worland, Chris Schutz, and I all grew up together, forming a tight-knit group of friends who supported each other through life's ups and downs. We spent countless hours playing basketball on his backyard court, cruising up and down 8th street, and serving together in the National Guard at the 842nd, where we also completed our Advanced Individual Training at Fort Jackson, SC. We shared numerous late nights at bars, competing in dart tournaments, and even represented our team at Nationals in Vegas. Unfortunately, we have all gone our separate ways, and it's regrettable that we don't stay in touch as often as we should. Gone too soon. Rest in peace, Brandon Whitney. You are deeply missed.
