Obituary For Carol L. Garr

Carol Louise (Weber) Garr, 71, Rapid City, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, passed away Dec. 24, 2007, at her home.Carol was born one of 10 children and was raised in Aberdeen, S.D.; she was the daughter of Alex and Ruby Weber. She married Gene F. Garr on June 21, 1952, in Aberdeen, S.D. and lived in Rapid City, S.D. During their marriage of 55 years, Gene & Carol were blessed with 6 children, 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Carol worked at Rapid City Laundry, Hill View Nursing Home, Westhills Village Retirement Center and Guest Home. She liked to travel, fish, camp, garden and cook. She was a loving woman whose time was well spent with family, which was especially precious to her. Carol will be dearly missed by family and friends.Carol is survived by her husband Gene, 2-sons Mike (wife-Leonella) & LonnieGarr; 4-daughters Debbie Nelson, Gena Thovson (husband-Rick), Christy Cristiniand Brenda Rankin, all of Rapid City; 13 grandchildren & 12 great-grandchildren; 1 sister Donna Brockel (husband Ted); 2 brothers Arnie (wife Barb) & Jimmy Weber, all of Aberdeen, S.D. and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, John; Alex; Donny & Mike; sisters, Joy Fleck & Naomi (Hon) Beck; bother-in-law Alvin Beck; son-in-law Joe Cristini; niece Tina Brockel and granddaughter Avery Garr.
