Obituary For Carolina A Gutierres

Carolina “Carrie” A. Gutierres, 88, Rapid City, passed away on Friday, January 24, 2014 at the Rapid City Regional Hospice of the Hills. She was born April 17, 1925 to Eli and Mary (Hurtado) Aragon in Raton, New Mexico. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, a sister and her husband Joseph A. Gutierres. She is survived by her brother, Eli Aragon, Jr., her sister Irene Flanagan, two sons, Ray and Joseph, Jr., her daughter, Barbara; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Carrie loved to cook, the Colorado Rockies, playing bingo, dance and she enjoyed her craftwork that she did at the Campbell County Senior Center, where she volunteered and then was later employed. In 2009, she left her long-time residence in Gillette, WY and moved to Rapid City to live with her daughter and grandson until her passing.
