Obituary For Carolyn Fay Davis

Carolyn Fay Davis, 80, passed away at home on December 14, 2025.

Carolyn was born on August 21, 1945 to Clarence Pankowski (Palmer) and Verna Ridenour of Toledo, Ohio.

She was a daughter, sister, mother grandma, great grandma and best friend to Rosie Torres and Tina Cleveland.

In 1973, Carolyn had a daughter Priscilla in Nebraska and then moved to Rapid City, South Dakota where she met and married the love of her life, Charles Davis.

They had a daughter named Pamala in 1980. They shared their life together managing different properties, and she helped Charles with his long-time construction business, Midwestern Ditching.

As life continues, Carolyn got to experience the joys of life with Charles by snowmobiling, being a part of Classic Car Clubs and racing at the Black Hills Speedway. Also taking many vacations together as a family.

Carolyn loved landscaping, and planting flowers to make her many properties pretty.

Carolyn is survived by her sister, Mary Schaub, Kearney, Nebraska, her daughters Priscilla Palmer and Pamala (Mark) Thompson, Rapid City, South Dakota.

Carolyn’s pride and joy were her grandchildren, Daytona and Ashlyn Thompson, Rapid City, South Dakota, Tyler (Sara) Davis, Fairmont, MN., Melissa (Andy) Rivers of Rapid City, SD. Great grandchildren, Bentley and Kynzley Rivers of Rapid City, SD.

Preceded in death by her husband, Charles Davis, parents, her best friend, Rosie Torres, one brother, Henry Schaub, sisters Verna McLeod and Catherine (Kitty) Meyer of Cinn, Ohio.

Celebration of Life will be determined at a later date.
