Obituary For Claude F. Brinster

Claude F. Brinster, 64, Rapid City, died Sunday Oct. 8, 2006 at Rapid City Regional Hospital.Claude was born July 11, 1942 in New England, ND to Nick and Frances (Schmitt) Brinster. He grew up in Bowman, ND and graduated from Bowman High School in 1960. He attended ND State School of Science, Wahpeton, ND, graduating in 1962.October 3, 1966, Claude married Renee Geist in Casper, WY. Claude worked in Hot Springs, Wahpeton, ND; Casper, WY and came to Rapid City in 1967 following his marriage to Renee. After moving to Rapid City, he worked for Sioux plating, Western Dynamics and various body shops including Courtesy Subaru.Claude was a member of the American Philatic Society; he enjoyed stamp collecting, hunting, fishing, rebuilding cars, metal detecting and gold panning.Claude is survived by his wife Renee J. Brinster, Rapid City; his daughter Denise Dawson, Rapid City; his son, Mike Brinster, Sheridan, WY; 2 granddaughters, Jessica and Bethany Dawson; his mother Frances Brinster, Dickinson, ND; 2 brothers, Ken Brinster, Albuquerque, NM and Larry Brinster, Frazee, MN. He was preceded in death by his father, Nick Brinster.
