Obituary For Cynthya Fassett

Cynthya “Cindy” Fassett, 53, Rapid City, died on Thursday, October 25, 2012. She was born on February 18, 1959 in Rapid City, SD to Merlin and Carol Woods (Mardian) of Spearfish, SD. She grew up in Sioux Falls, SD and attended school there graduating from Washington High School in 1977. She was married to Roland Fassett on May 16th 1981; they were later divorced but remained close to each other. She is survived by two children, Sara (Mark) Ham and Kyle Fassett all of Sioux Falls SD. Two grandchildren, Meah Sanchez and Devin Hollingsworth both of Rapid City SD and a third expected grandchild to be born in April 2013 to Mark and Sara; former husband Roland Fassett, several siblings, Randy (Pat) Woods of Plankinton SD, Rich (Lynnette) Woods of Rapid City SD, Christie Jensen of Tualatin Oregon, Murl (Jake) Rottenbucher of Rapid City SD, Rodney Woods of Rapid City SD, Julie Goetsch of Spearfish SD, Jeri Nudell of St. Lawrence SD, John Robert Maunu of Sioux Falls SD, many nieces and nephews, and longtime friend Leann Somerville of Black Hawk. She is preceded in death by her father Merlin Woods.
