Obituary For Danny Parks
Danny Parks, 72, Box Elder, passed away Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Rapid City Regional Hospital. He was born September 21, 1944 in Leona Mines, VA to Clyde and Hattie (Oliver) Parks. He grew up in West Virginia, graduating from Logan High School in Logan. After graduating, he enlisted into the United States Air Force. On August 31, 1967, he married the love of his life, Margaret Greenhalgh in Rapid City. In 1970, the Air Force brought him to Korea, he later returned home in 1971. In 1973, he was honorably discharged. After living for a time in California, they moved to Rapid City. They later moved to WV, where he worked as a coal miner, returning to Rapid City 4 years later. While in Rapid City, he did janitorial work.He enjoyed watching television, especially baseball, listening to music, and fishing in the Black Hills.He is survived by his wife, Margaret; daughter Rhonda (Bruce) Parker of Heartland, MI; 3 grandchildren, Brett, Elizabeth, and Bryan; brother Kenneth Walker; and sister Patricia Williamson. He was preceded in death by his parents.
