Obituary For Dena Mae Kertzman

Dena Mae Kertzman (75) of Rapid City passed away November 25th 2015 at Regional Health’s Hospice House. She leaves behind two sons; Mitchell and Cynthia Kertzman, Rapid City, and Samuel Kertzman and Kyra Brown of Lake Frederick, VA, and two daughters; Julia (Kertzman) and Warren Stramer, and Deann (Kertzman) and Brad Solon of Rapid City, and her two brothers, Timothy Pfeifer and Leslie Pfeifer.She was Grandma to seven grandchildren: Christa (Kertzman) and Jesse Rieb; Danielle (Kertzman) and Jeremy Lowe; Neil and Jessica Stramer; Lyle Stramer, Bryan and Katie Stramer; and Lander and Laura Solon.She was Great Grandma to ten: Paige, Jacob, Jett, Payton, Teygn, Alaina, Elliot, Olivia, Hazel, and Violet.Dena was an excellent seamstress and cook, and helped her father Arthur in the blacksmith shop in Hazelton, ND in her youth. She taught Sunday and Bible school at the Presbyterian Church in Hazelton for many years. She enjoyed cooking and baking for students from districts in ND. VA and SD. Dena was Master Assistant to her fisherman husband Bryan. She and Bryan traveled to many U.S. destinations and well as Mexico and Canada.Dena was preceded in death by her Husband, Bryan, and her parents, Arthur and Margaret Pfeifer. Dena was an independent, strong woman and will be missed by all of us. Well played, Mom.
