Donald Theodore 'Ted' Englebert

September 28, 1956 – May 11, 2026

Donald Theodore 'Ted' (also known as Teddy) Englebert, 69, of Rapid City, South Dakota, passed away on May 11, 2026.

Born on September 28, 1956, in Rapid City to Frankie “Gene” Englebert and Marian (Kippley) Englebert, Ted was a lifelong resident of the Black Hills. He had a deep love for motorcycles, hot rods, and the open road, and he appreciated the company of beautiful women. Ted maintained strong ties within the local community and loved his friends and those closest to him unconditionally.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, May 29, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Behrens-Wilson Funeral Home, 632 Saint Francis Street, Rapid City, South Dakota.

Ted is survived by his sons Jason D. Wagner (formerly Jason Theodore Englebert) of the Greater Phoenix, Arizona area, Christopher Englebert, and Nicholas (Guinn) Englebert; his daughter Terra Rupp; his sister Ruth of Rapid City; his grandchildren Chayton Wagner and Taleya Rupp; and his great-granddaughter Evelyn Wagner.

He was preceded by his parents, Frankie “Gene” and Marian (Kippley) Englebert, and his brother William “Bill” Englebert.

Family and friends are invited to gather and share memories of Ted’s life and the path he chose.
