Obituary For Dorothy Jane Murphy
Dorothy J Murphy (née Youngman) died peacefully at Morningstar Assisted Living in Rapid City, SD on June 3rd, 2017 at the age of 101.
Dorothy was born on August 11th, 1915 in Aberdeen, SD to Charles and Helen Youngman. Dorothy was united in marriage to Melvin R Murphy in 1938. Dorothy loved gardening, her (now deceased) dog Buffy, and to swear liberally, in no particular order.
Dorothy is survived by her children Richard Murphy of San Martin, CA; David Murphy of Rapid City, SD; Linda (Bradley) Weber of Brandon, SD and Daughter-In-Law Linda Murphy of Aberdeen, SD.
Dorothy is also survived by 11 Grandchildren and 9 Great-Grandchildren.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband Melvin R. Murphy, son Robert “Denny” Murphy of Aberdeen and Daughter-In-Law Kathie Murphy of Rapid City.
Dorothy is to be interred at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Aberdeen, SD. No services will be held.
