Obituary For Duane S. 'Dewey' Flynn

Duane Scott ‘Dewey’ Flynn, 50, Belle Fourche, died Monday, July 16, 2012 as the result of a drowning accident. He was born January 14, 1962 in Bowman, ND to Donald and Bonnie (Randall) Flynn. He graduated from Scranton High School and attended Dickinson State University. Duane married Tina Schroeder on July 26, 1986 in Dickinson, ND and they later moved to Rapid City. To this union 4 children were born, Tara, Ryan (deceased), Ashley and Rochelle. Duane worked various jobs including the oil fields in North Dakota. Duane touched many lives and had a contagious laugh. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and camping. He was a motorcycle enthusiast and regularly attended the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. Duane especially loved spending time with his daughters, family and friends He is survived by his 3 daughters, Tara, Ashley and Rochelle Flynn all of Rapid City; his significant other, Tana O’Connor, her children, Dallas, Desiree and Duehl Lamm and Tommi O’Connor; his father, Donald (Edna) Flynn, Bismarck, ND; his mother, Bonnie (Lawrance) Rowley, Black Hawk; 3 brothers, Steve Flynn, Bismarck, ND; Tom (Terri) Flynn, CA and Darrell (Karen) Flynn, Bismarck; his sister, Donna (Roger) Urbanec, Black Hawk; his step-sister, Sara Rowley, Rapid City and numerous nephews and nieces.. He is preceded in death by his son Ryan, Aug. 7, 1994 and his grandparents.
