Obituary For Elaine Ellen Grauel

Elaine Ellen Grauel, 56, Rapid City, SD passed away on February 14, 2026 after a long illness.

Elaine was born in Rapid City, to Charles (Chuck) and Verna (Back), on November 2, 1969. Elaine graduated from Stevens High School in 1987. She worked for Hardee's for 12 years and was an Assistant Manager at the west side location. She worked for Consumer Credit Resource Center for the past 25 years.

Elaine is survived by her mother Verna, a favorite cousin Karen, and her canine companion Rusty. Elaine is preceded in death by her father Charles, her Grandma and Grandpa Back, and her Grandma and Grampa Grauel.

Elaine has requested no funeral services.

She was loved deeply and will be missed greatly.

    Verna, we are so sorry to hear of Elaines passing. You are forever in our hearts and prayers. Elaine was always a happy person. Her smile lit up the room or wherever we saw the two of you together. I wish we could have had a chance to say goodbye, just know that we have here. We will miss you. RIP and keep smiling.     Elaine was my cousin and she struggled for many years with her heart and lung disease (PAH). She was a long time employee (25 years) of Consumer Credit Counseling. Her Mom, Verna (Back) Grauel is my Aunt. She is preceded in death by her grandparents.
