Obituary For Elizabeth Mary Geboe
Elizabeth Mary Geboe, lovingly known as Liz, passed away on April 13, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of strength, honesty, and unwavering love. Born on August 6, 1972, in Fort Yates, North Dakota, to Louisa Mae Martin (Antelope) and Emory Keoke. She was the eldest of four children and carried that role with pride, courage, and a deep sense of responsibility.
Elizabeth was a fun-loving mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She had a presence that could fi ll a room and a spirit that left a lasting mark on everyone she met. She loved in a way that was unmistakably her own—strong, steady, and unafraid to be honest. Her love wasn’t always soft, but it was always real. She showed up for the people she cared about with fi erce loyalty and a protective spirit that made others feel safe, even when she was being tough. She believed deeply in those she loved, pushed them to be better, and never allowed them to settle for less than they deserved.
To her siblings and loved ones, Elizabeth was both a guardian and a guide—someone who stood beside you no matter what, even if it meant telling you the truth you didn’t want to hear. Her strength was her love language, and behind every fi rm word was a heart that cared deeply and completely. She will be remembered not only for how deeply she loved, but for how powerfully she showed it. Her presence shaped those around her, her voice will remain in their hearts, and her love will continue to guide them always.
She is survived by her children, Jason Owen Keoke, Matthew Geboe, Jr., and Alicia Mae Ann Geboe; her grandchildren, Faith Keoke, Milliani andLuca Highbear all of Rapid City, South Dakota, her siblings, Marybeth Martin of Rapid City, South Dakota, Theodore Martin III of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Charlene Martin of Miami, Florida; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and her special friend, William “Bill” Hamm of Denver, Colorado.
A Celebration of Life will be held on her upcoming birthday, August 6, 2026, among family and friends.
