Obituary For Elra E. 'Red' Pigsley
Elra E. ‘Red’ Pigsley, 91, Rapid City died Thursday Oct. 8, 2009 at Golden Livingcenter Prairie Hills. He was born on Feb. 20, 1918 to William Harrison and Ethel Julia (Beems) Pigsley in Winner, SD. He came to Rapid City at a young age. Elra enjoyed hunting, fishing and was an accomplished shooter.He is survived by his wife Lois (Wilsey) Pigsley, Rapid City; one granddaughter; one grandson; two step-granddaughters; 2 step-grandsons; numerous great and great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Florence; one son, Ellsworth ‘Toot’ Pigsley; three brothers and one sister.
