Eugene F. Czmowski, 77, Rapid City, died Saturday, February 2, 2008 at his home.He was born March 6, 1930 in Webster, SD to Frank and Violet (Barnett) Czmowski. He grew up in the Webster area and graduated from Webster High School.Eugene married Teresa Buittner on January 20, 1953 in Webster. They lived on the family farm until moving to Rapid City in 1961.He worked at various places retiring from South Dakota School of Mines and Technology in 1992.Eugene enjoyed playing cards, fishing, and spending time with his family.He is survived by his wife, Teresa, Rapid City; 3 sons, Mike Czmowski, Rapid City, Roger Czmowski, St. Louis, MO, Richard Czmowski, Rapid City; 3 daughters, Barb Prosser (Jim), Crawford, NE, Donna Czmowski, Karen Schaffer (Steve) of Rapid City; 9 grandchildren (Bill, Brian, Amanda, LJ, Scott, Justin, Eric, Sean, Kristen) and a special adopted granddaughter Emily Hollingsworth; a brother, Duane Czmowski, Aberdeen; 3 sisters, Gwen Stanley, Webster, Shirley Paul, Ft. Meyers Beach, FL, Carol Barko, Minneapolis, MN.He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Violet, a brother David and a grandson, Jason Prosser.
