Obituary For Eva Rose Fischer

Eva Rose (Jund) Fischer, age 64, Rapid City, died at her home Thursday, September 04, 2014 following a brief illness. Eva was born May 26, 1950 in Bismarck, ND to John and Rose (Salwei) Jund. She lived with her family in the Greenway, SD and Zeeland, ND area until they moved to Mobridge in 1960. She graduated from Mobridge High school in 1968, and on November 16th of that same year, she was united in marriage to Darrold Fischer. From 1968 to 1976 they made their home in Eureka, SD until moving to Mobridge, where they resided until moving to Rapid City in 2010.In 1977, Eva began working as a Teller, eventually becoming Head Teller, at Citizens Bank in Mobridge, now known as Dacotah Bank. She continued working for Dacotah Bank after moving to Rapid City, and was looking forward to being able to return to a job she truly enjoyed.Eva was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and its Altar Society in Mobridge and she was also active in the Monthly Card Club. She was currently a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Rapid City.Eva will be remembered for her kind, gentle spirit as well as her collection of Angel figurines. Being near her grandchildren in Rapid City brought her great pleasure and she enjoyed attending all their games, concerts and activities.Grateful to have shared in her life are her husband of 45 years, Darrold Fischer, Rapid City; one daughter, Kim (Kelly) Harris; Rapid City; one son, Brian Fischer, Honolulu, HI; her grandchildren aka her lifes pride and joy, Tyler and Madison Harris; Rapid City; brothers, Francis (Carol) Jund, Mobridge; Joe (Eleanor) Jund, Aberdeen and Mike (Sharon) Jund, Davenport, IA; sisters, Mary (James) Holzer, Stevens Point, WI; Caroline (Michael) Jackson, Broomfield, CO and Sally (Daryl) Isburg, Rapid City; Sisters-in-law, Carla Jund, Pierre, SD and Maureen Jund, Rapid City, SD; and numerous nieces and nephews.Eva was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers, John Jund, Jr. and Gerald Jund.
