Obituary For Floreine M Wiedrich
Floreine M. Wiedrich, 87, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on April 9, 2014, at Rapid City Regional Hospice House. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, April 12, at South Park United Church of Christ, 2201 3rd Street, Rapid City, with the Rev. Bruce Herrboldt officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be held at Pine Lawn Memorial Park. Flo was born on May 27, 1926, in Linton, ND, to Arthur and Martha (Bertsch) Beck. She married Ted Wiedrich on Nov. 7, 1947. Together they built their home in Rapid City and raised 5 children. She loved doing crafts with her hands especially quilting, sewing, knitting and crocheting. She was proud of her German heritage, and enjoyed cooking and baking traditional dishes for her family. She was also an avid baseball fan with the Colorado Rockies and Los Angeles Dodgers among her favorite teams. She is survived by her sister Delores Bertsch, a brother Ervin Beck, three sons, Robert (Ann) Wiedrich, Dan (Lori) Wiedrich, and Kirby (Vickie) Wiedrich; and two daughters, Lynn (Ken) Tarter and Rosanne Rennell; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ted in 1987; one grandson, her parents, and a brother, Helmuth Beck. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Interim Healthcare and at the Hospice House for the excellent and loving care extended to Flo.
