Obituary For Floyd William Reidt
Floyd William Reidt, 81, Caputa, died Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Rapid City Regional Hospice House. He was born August 30, 1935 to Clara (Garrison) and DW ‘Tom’ Reidt in Onaka, SD. He attended school and graduated from Roscoe Public School. He entered the U.S. Army on January 6, 1955 where he served as a medic and was honorably discharged December 19, 1956. He worked for Boeing Aircraft Company in Renton, WA before coming back to Onaka to farm in partnership with his brother Verne. In 1995 he moved to Rapid Valley near Caputa and resided there until poor health hospitalized him and he became a resident of the Hospice House on September 22nd. Floyd is survived by his wife of 57 years, Virginia (Finney); his daughter Linda and family, Glenn Kilber and son Broc of Rapid City; his grandson Stephen Kilber and family, Danae (Gallimore), sons Seamus and Cyrus of Rapid City; daughter Kay and family, daughter Claudia Jean ‘CJ’ and Jonathan Laurence of Redwood City, CA; numerous nieces and nephews as well as a multitude of friends.
