Obituary For Fred Sedivy

“TURN OUT THE LIGHTS, THE PARTY’S OVER”Fred Sedivy succumbed on Feb 28, 2013 from his 17 years battle with emphysema. Born in Arlington, SD on May 24, 1940, he found the perfect home with Rudy and Blanche Sedivy in Rapid City, via a short period in California. He attended Rapid Valley grade school and Rapid City High School. Fred lived and worked in many states; then settled on the Sedivy Place in Rapid Valley. He formed Sedivy Trucking and trucked the forty-eight states. Since 1999, he spent winters in Lake Havasu City, AZ because of his emphysema; until they found the perfect little Eden in Boulder Park near Deadwood. Among survivors are Donna Sedivy, Boulder Park; his daughter Jacqueline; Donnas’ four children who adore him; Bonnie, Seattle, WA; Beverly, Idaho; Brian Hubert, Watertown and Douglas Hubert, Wyoming.Hide me, O my Savior, hide,‘Til the storm of life be past;Safe into the haven guide,O receive my soul at last.Charles Wesley (1707-1788)
