Obituary For Gloria Daly

Gloria Daly, 86, Rapid City, Beloved Stepmother, Aunt, and Friend, died Saturday, December 31, 2011 in Minneapolis, MN. Gloria was born April 17, 1925 to Lester Brander and Irma (Briest) Brander in Frederick S.D., moved to Rapid City in 1937, and married John (Jack) Daly in May 1948. She worked at Ellsworth Air Force Base in the Traffic Management Office from 1943 until she retired in 1985, was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, the American Legion Auxiliary and loved volunteering at the Chapel in the Hills. Gloria was survived by one stepson John R. Daly (Cindy) and their family, nieces Karyn Fulton (Robert), Glori Cope (James), Denise Spence (James), Kellie Logan (Robert), Kathy Tiller (Tom) and their families, nephews Michael Lewis, Jeffrey Davis, William Davis and their families; 4 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and many wonderful friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one brother, two sisters, and one nephew. Gloria was a most loving, giving and caring person. She was always there for everyone. She had a sparkling personality and when she laughed it filled our hearts with joy. She will be greatly missed.
