Obituary For Gordon G. Hopperdietzel, Sr.

Gordon George Hopperdietzel, Sr., 82, Rapid City, died Thursday, February 21, 2013 at Rapid City Regional Hospital. He was born March 7, 1930 at Athens, Wisconsin to George Emil and Lillian Alvina (Marth) Hopperdietzel. He entered the US Army on February 5, 1952 and was honorably discharged on January 25, 1954 following service during the Korean War. He worked as a mechanic in the service as well as in his civilian life.He is survived by his wife, Vivian (Hessey) Hopperdietzel, Rapid City; 2 sons, Gordon G. Hopperdietzel, Jr., Rapid City, Dennis Hopperdietzel, Wisconsin; 3 daughters, Michelle Taylor, Mobridge, Bonnie Hopperdietzel, W. Terra Haute, Indiana, Debbie Rew, Butte des Morts, Wisconsin; 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 4 sisters and 1 brother.He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 sisters and a brother in infancy.
