Obituary For Helen F. Ruckman

Helen Fern (McDaniel) Ruckman, 96, formerly residing at Westhills Village in Rapid City, went home to be with her Lord, Tuesday July 19, 2011 in Silver Springs, NV. She was born May 9, 1915 in Bloomington, IL to Lula (Smith) and Artie McDaniel. Helen attended Raymond School in Bloomington, IL. She was baptized in Jesus name and filled with the Holy Ghost 45 years ago. Helen’s family was her whole world and she will be missed greatly, but we rejoice knowing she is now home. She had been living with her oldest son Jack since February 28, 2011, in Silver Springs, NV at the time of her death. She is survived by her children, Jack Ruckman, Silver Springs, NV; Larry and his wife Janet Ruckman, Camano Island, WA; Lloyd and his wife Janice Ruckman, Omaha, NE; Jim Ruckman, Clarks Dale, AZ and Geraldine Perrigo, Rapid City; 13 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren; 1 brother, Clarence McDaniel, Lexington, IL; 2 sisters, Esther Russell, Towanda, IL and Edna and her husband Chiz Chancellor, Bloomington, IL; her sister-in-law Judy McDaniel, Chenoa, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Lawrence Eugene Ruckman, March 6, 1985; her parents Lula and Artie McDaniel; 4 brothers, Arthur, Allen, Edward and Earl; 4 sisters, Mildred, Dorothy, Virginia and Mariane and twin daughters, June and Jean.
