Obituary For Irene Marie Jurrens
Irene Marie Jurrens passed away May 18 2016, at the age of 96 at the Golden Living Center of the Black Hills in Rapid City. Irene was born July 5, 1919 to Lee and Grace {Lefler) Banks in Forest City Iowa. Irene graduated from Springfield High School at Springfield NE, which she completed in three years time. Irene met Ervin Jurrens and they married on August 30, 1939. And to this union were born 4 children, Linda (Roger) Klatt, Jan (Bill) Nash, Gary (Margie) Jurrens, and Donnie Jurrens. Irene and Ervin enjoyed 63 years of marriage. Some of the places they lived were Folsom SD, Argyle SD, Buffalo Gap SD, Wall SD and Hermosa SD. Some of Irene's favorite pass times were fishing, reading, crocheting, gardening, sports (baseball, go Cubs, football, go Packers, and NCAA basketball and NASCAR races. Irene also loved to play pool with her friends when she lived at Wall SD.Irene is survived by her children, Linda, Gary and Donnie; her 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandson. Irene was preceded in death by her parents and 4 sisters, her husband Ervin, her daughter Jan and her grandson Brian Nash.
