Irvin Delvin Wittmeier, Sr., 77, Rapid City, died Thursday, March 17, 2016 at his home. He was diagnosed with a Geoblastoma on Monday, March 1st and died as a result of this disease.Irvin was born July 4, 1938 at Eureka County Hospital to Reinhold and Lydia (Moser) Wittmeier. He worked as a Senior EEG Technician at the Rapid City Regional Hospital from 1976 until retiring in 1995.He was a member of First Baptist Church.Irvin is survived by special friend, Eleanor Baker; his children, Mark (Nora) Wittmeier, Minnesota, Luanne (Donnie) Schrock, Minnesota, Irvin (Deb) Wittmeier, Jr., Rapid City, Lara (David) Pipes, Nebraska, Duane (Tesa) Wittmeier, Rapid City; 10 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; a brother Duane(Jean) Wittmeier, California and a sister Lorraine(Wilmer) Kirschenmann, Aberdeen.He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia, parents, brother, Maynard Wittmeier and sister, Donna House.
