Obituary For James B. Keller

James B. Keller, 68, died unexpectedly from natural causes on May 10th, 2012 in Rapid City, S.D. He was born May 3rd, 1944 in Hastings, NE. to James C. Keller and Ruby (Blackford) Keller. After graduating, Jim enlisted in the Marine Corps and served for 23 years. During his service, he was deployed for 3 combat tours to Vietnam and visited numerous other duty stations around the world. He retired as a Master Sergeant. He also met and married the love of his life, Janice Goodlette and they decided to settle in Sheridan, WY, and raise their family. Jim and Janice celebrated 48 years of marriage in April. While in Sheridan, Jim worked as a contracting officer for the V.A. for 18 years. He was a loyal member of the Moose Lodge #674 for many years and enjoyed being with family and friends, cooking, playing golf, and calling Bingo. He especially liked laughing and traveling with his beloved wife, Janice. And never did they travel anywhere without their loyal companions, Harley and Andy. James is survived by his wife, Janice, sons Jim C. Keller and his wife Kelly, Jeff G. Keller and his wife Darby and his daughter Jill Tyree as well as his father James C. Keller and one sister, Linda Auch. He was also blessed with 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson. James was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
