Obituary For James Edwin Dye
James E. Dye, 86, Rapid City, died Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at Regional Health’s Hospice House. Jim is now in heaven with Jesus and with loved ones who have gone on before, and he is experiencing that glorious dawn that waits all who believe in Christ. Through his trials, diseases, and adversities he trusted God and acknowledged that God was in control. Jim accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in 1979 and from that time on faithfully lived for Him and served Him. Jim’s favorite Bible verse was John 14:6; Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through me.” Jim was a member of Rimrock Evangelical Free Church. Jim’s family and friends celebrate his life and the fact that he will be in heaven with Jesus forever - - a place with no sin, no death, no mourning, no crying, and no pain. His salvation began in this life and will be fully realized throughout all eternity. Jim is survived by his wife of 61 1/2 years, Lucille, two daughters, Colleen (Bill) Robinson, Seeley Lake, MT and Sharon (Jim) Hansen, Rapid City; one son, James (Jody) Dye, Misawa, Japan; six granddaughters and five grandsons; eleven great grandchildren and one brother, Bob, Gilbert, AZ. He was preceded in death by his mother and father and one brother, Wendell.
