Obituary For Jerry D Burrow

Jerry D Burrow, 83, Piedmont, will be welcomed home by those that went before him and greatly missed by those he left behind on Sunday April 27, 2014. Jerry was born July 19, 1930 to Claudie and Nellie (Qualls) Burrow in Cave City, Ark where he was raised. He entered the US Marines in 1952 and was honorably discharged. He moved to Rapid City in 1957 and that is where he met and married Verna Curtiss. Jerry owned and operated the Lacrosse Street Baitshop and the Horseshoe Bar. He also worked for the Civil Service at Ellsworth Air Force Base and retired in 1994. He loved fishing and teaching his children and grandchildren how to fish. He was always game for a good joke and loved spending time with family and friends. He never met a stranger. Jerry will be missed by his children, Donna Burrow Ford and Marsha Burrow McBride (Dennis), all of Batesville, Ark; Jim Burrow, Mt Pleasant, Ark; Cora Curtiss Goettl (Dave), Mesa, AZ; Carl (Michelle) Buckley, Casper, WY; Carol Buckley Fordyce (Michael), Sheridan, WY; Calvin Eddie Burrow-Buckley, Midwest, WY; Cheryl Burrow Hitshew, Rapid City; Connie Burrow Reichert, Piedmont; sons-in-law, Gary Heckenlaible and Kenny Hitshew. His legacy also includes several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Also surviving are 3 sisters, Lois Snow, Clara Parks and Linda Menning and several nieces and nephews. Welcoming Jerry are his parents, his wife Verna, son Kenneth, brother Wayne and two granddaughters.
