Obituary For Jonah Alec Temple
Jonah Temple, 23, of Black Hawk, passed away on May 30, 2026. He was born on December 2, 2002 to Joseph and Jennifer Temple.
Jonah is a deeply loved son, grandson, brother, uncle, and nephew. He will be remembered for his love of animals, especially his beloved cat Squishy. He is remembered for being a fun-loving uncle to his nieces and nephew whom he adored. Jonah is known for being a very considerate and caring person. Jonah loved movies and music, and is known as the "DJ" of family gatherings.
He is survived by father Joseph Temple and mother Jennifer Temple; step-mother Mel Anderson; sister Jackie (Caleb) Terwilliger, step-brother James Sistak; nieces Fiona and Annika Terwilliger, nephew Sebastian Terwilliger; grandparents Steve and Helen Schroeder; aunts and uncles Martha Joslyn (Jason Jaquish), Mike Pattison, Cheryl (Mike) Stebbins, Chris (Kristina) Pattison and Brian Pattison, Denise Drury (Tony), and Bill (Carolyn) Temple; and dear friend Andrea Lies.
A gathering in honor of Jonah will be held on Sunday, June 14 at 1pm at Canyon Lake Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Battle Mountain Humane Society to honor Jonah's love of animals. Alternatively, donations to Black Hills area Volunteer Fire Departments or Search and Rescue organizations is greatly appreciated to help us show our gratitude for their vast efforts in finding Jonah.
