Obituary For Joseph Kitchens
Joseph “Wayne” Kitchens, 54, was united with our heavenly Father on Monday, January 16, 2017. He was born on January 20, 1962 in Cleburne, TX to the late Joseph D. and Sarah (Lee) Kitchens. He served in the USAF and met his wife of 33 years, Maria Kitchens, in the Philippines. They were married May 9, 1983. Together they raised 4 children. He was honorably discharged from the military in December 1989 and continued his education to become an electrician. God has a plan and a purpose for everyone. He was put on this Earth to make an impact in people's lives and spread God's word and he did just that. He was such a humble man he didn't realize just how many lives he impacted. He was a man of God, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He had many hobbies including riding his motorcycle and taking several road trips along the way, flying model airplane, geocaching, and hunting. Wayne is survived by his wife, Maria Kitchens; 2 sisters, Kathy Vaughn and JoAnn Bates; brother, David Kitchens; son, Jeremy and wife April Kitchens; 2 daughters, Katrina Torres and Stephanie Kitchens; 8 grandchildren Landon, Kailey and Avery Berendse, Trinity and Talen Torres, and Caitlyn, Victoria, and Tyson Pehringer. He is preceded in death by his brother Billie Kitchens and daughter, Laura Kitchens.
