Joyce J. West, 70, lifelong resident of Rapid City, died on her beloved husband’s birthday, Tuesday March 14, 2006 at Rapid City Regional Hospital. Joyce was born April 17, 1935 to Martin and Lorraine (Cosgrove) Collins in Rapid City. Joyce married Clarence R West in Rapid City on May 29, 1959. She worked for Toscano’s Restaurant until they closed. Joyce is survived by 4 sons, Daniel Work; David West, both of Rapid City; Donald Work, Phoenix, AZ; DeWayne West, Bradenton, FL; 3 daughters, Sharon Burns, Lead, SD; Sheila Smith; Sandra Napier, both of Rapid City; 15 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; mother, Lorraine Denman, Rapid City; mother-in-law, Matilda ‘Tillie” West, Rapid City; brother, Bill Collins, Rapid City; 2 sisters, Janet and Lois, NY; Richard and Steven, Colorado Springs, CO and numerous other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence, March 7, 1994 and her father.“I Make Friends Everywhere I Go”
