Obituary For June Droppers

June (Gerlach) Droppers, 68, of Rapid City died Monday, February 6th, 2012 after her long battle with Dementia. June was born to John and Margaret Gerlach, June 18, 1943. June married Calvin “Cal” Droppers on July 16, 1963; they resided in Mitchell, SD, where June was a homemaker. Cal and June were blessed with two children, Peter and Darcy. In 1968 Cal and June moved their family to Rapid City. June was a homemaker, seamstress, and worked at the Rapid City School District cafeteria. June loved all of her family and not enough can be said about her caring and giving personality. June loved to bake, sew, work in her garden, camping, church activities, family BBQs and being with her kids and grandkids. June will be missed immensely by her family and friends.Survivors include her two children, Pete (Jaime) Droppers, Rapid City and Darcy Droppers, California; three grandkids, Peter Droppers II, Mitchell, SD., Samantha (Scott) Smith, and Zachary Droppers, Rapid City; one great-grandchild, Quentin Martin, Rapid City; five brothers, Harlan Gerlach and David Gerlach, Rapid City, Lambert Gerlach, Cottonwood, AZ., Norbert Gerlach, Mt Vernon, SD., Garhardt Gerlach, Corsica, SD.; three sisters Mary Paradeis, Mitchell, SD., Pat Butterfield, Woodinville, WA., Barb Nesheim, Cave Creek, AZ. June was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Cal on August 17, 2009; one sister, Dorothy Travis.
