Obituary For Kenneth R. Rose, Sr.
On 12/05/16 Kenneth R. Rose, Sr., was surrounded by his loving family as he began his journey to Heaven to join his mother, father, brother, wife, 2 sons, 1 daughter and 1 granddaughter to rejoice the big birthday party in the sky. Ken was born 01/10/36 on Farm Island in Sully County, SD to Victor Herman & Mabel Mary Viola Rose. He was raised and grew up on the family farm in Okobojo near Pierre, SD. He graduated from Riggs High School in Pierre in 1954 where he met and fell in love with his beloved late wife June E. Rose, they were married in Pierre 11-19-54. While living in Pierre, Ken & June were blessed with 3 children; Terry, Debby & Kenny. In 1959 they moved to Rapid City they were blessed with 3 more children; Tim, Sherry & Bonny. Ken followed his dream of starting Ken’s Carpet & Decorating in 1970; he kept the business going throughout his entire life. He enjoyed hunting, fishing & camping while spending time with his family. He is survived by his children; Debby Arnold, Cindy Rose, Sherry Rose (her significant other-David), Bonny and Marlin Davey, 15 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 1 on the way & his siblings Mary Ann and John Hall.
