Obituary For Larry Fulton

Larry Fulton went to be with His Higher Power on August 20, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer. Larry was born on October 11, 1942, at Minot, North Dakota, to Ray and Florence (Walker) Fulton. They lived in Mohall and Kenmare, and in 1959 moved to New Town. He graduated from New Town High School in 1960 and from North Dakota State School of Science in 1962. Larry worked in Los Angeles, Calif. for 10 months, and entered the Army Reserves in April of 1964. He received an Honorary Discharge on March 27, 1970. Larry married Ardis Mugaas March 25, 1967. They lived in Williston, North Dakota, and Glendive, Montana, before moving back to New Town in 1972. Larry worked for his father until he bought Ray’s TV & Appliance in 1981. Larry was a volunteer on the New Town Fire Department for 30 plus years. There he served as Assistant Chief and then Chief. He retired in 2013 and moved to Hill City, SD. Larry was a member of the Community Lutheran Church, Hill City, SD. Larry loved spending time with his grandchildren, especially camping and taking them to the State Fair and the Norsk Hostfest. His favorite sport was Nascar racing. He enjoyed watching racing on TV or in person at the racetrack. Larry also enjoyed getting together with the guys for coffee. Survivors are his wife, Ardis Fulton, sons Shawn and Jason (Julie), mother Florence Fulton, sister Barbara (Ron) Thielman, grandchildren Quade, Drew, Alex, Gage and MaKaycee, and his dog Bear. He was preceded in death by his father Ray.
