22 May 2025
Larry Welder, also known as Jake, lived a simple life. A life on his own terms, embracing every moment with enthusiasm. He had a passion for the outdoors. Gardening allowed him the opportunity to connect with nature as well as improve his green thumb. He enjoyed camping, riding his motorcycle, and teaching his grandchildren the little things in nature, as well as life. His creative spirit shone through his exceptional craftsmanship, particularly in the making of dream catchers, which is a skill he passed down. When our Father passed away, he remained true to himself, leaving behind a legacy of love, honor, and a reminder to live life with purpose and intensity. His beautiful soul will continue to inspire us, reminding us of the transformative power of love, protection, and unwavering dedication to family and friends. Dad will always have a place in our hearts, his love will remain in our forever.
He was proceeded in death by both his parents, Dorothy & Carlos, brothers Carlos & Terry, his son Shawn, and two Grandchildren, Briana & West. His remaining family is: his daughter's from Indiana, "Michele & Shannon, sons in Rapid City, Bo & Seth. Grandchildren from Indiana: "Damon, Candace, Chelsea, Dakota and Selina.
