Obituary For Lawrence D. 'Mike' Kalmback
Lawrence D. ‘Mike’ Kalmback, 77, Rapid City, died Saturday, May 2, 2009 at Rapid City Regional Hospital.He was born January 25, 1932 in Tappen, ND to Emanuel and Martha (Lang) Kalmback. Mike married Adeline ‘Addie’ Krieger on December 4, 1950 in St. Paul, MN. He entered the US Air Force in 1950. He served 2 tours in Vietnam with the 819th Red Horse and retired on May 1, 1971. He later was a salesman at Frontier Ford which then became McKie Ford. He was a member of TREA, a life member of the VFW and also a member of Minneluzahan Senior Citizen’s Center. He is survived by his wife, Addie Kalmback, Rapid City; a daughter, Mavis Kalmback, a granddaughter, Ashley Seiler, a grandson, Sean Seiler all of Conyers, GA; sisters, Juanita Rhode, Albuquerque, NM, Harriet and husband Chico Nagata, Torrance, CA, Virginia and husband Richard Smith, Rapid City, Violet and husband Jordon Anderson, Billings, MT, a brother, Gary and wife Patty Kalmback, ID. He was preceded in death by a son, Larry Kalmback on January 24, 2003, sisters, Mary Lou Falk, Luella and brothers, Raymond and Harold Kalmback.
