Lawrence H. ‘Larry’ Unley, 55, Rapid City, died Wednesday May 9, 2012 as the result of an accident. He was born Nov. 19, 1956 in Grand Rapids, MN to Harold and Gloria (Jones) Unley. He grew up in Rapid City and graduated from Central High School in 1977.Larry worked at various construction and asphalt jobs,he was the Sporting Goods manager at DakotaMart until they closed and he has been a salesman at Toyota of the Black Hills for the past 18 years.He was a motorcycle enthusiast and enjoyed racing motorcycles and motocross. He loved hunting and all types of fishing. He was a member of the ELKS,NRA and Black Hills Fly Fishing.Larry is survived by his son Aaron Elford,Everett,WA;3 sisters,Donita Unley,Rapid City; Marlene Unley,Piedmont and Ella Unley,Denver,CO;2 nieces,April and Erica Burke;2 great nieces, Hailey King and Destiny Sweet all of Rapid City and his nephew Alan Unley,Pueblo,CO. He is preceded in death by his parents.Memorial services will be 10:00 a.m.,Monday,May 14,2012 at Westminster Presbyterian Church with Rev. Bob Jacobs officiating.
