Obituary For Leo E. Ray

Leo E. Ray was born November 22, 1924 in Donrills, IL to Orville and Floye (Stickler) Ray. He moved to Midland at a young Age. He entered the US Army May 19, 1943 serving during WW II and was honorably discharged as a SGT on October 18, 1945 . He received the Purple Heart as well as the Bronze Service Arrowhead.He married Darlene E. Brown on February 14, 1947 in Rapid City.Leo has worked at the cement plant as well as in the maintenance department at Moyle Petroleum.He was an avid stock car driver as well as a snowmobiler.He is survived by his wife Darlene Ray, Rapid City; 1 daughter, Cheryl Cox, Rapid City; 2 sons, David Ray, Gillette, WY; Denis Ray, Rapid City; 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers and parents.
